Thousands of French Soldiers had provided assistance to the American colonists and returned home full of Republican enthusiasm. King Louis XVI called a session, representing the Estates General. Consisted of three male individuals that are Either from the clergy, the nobility, and the commoners. A few weeks later, they drew up the declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizen, which declared that "men are born and remain free and equal in rights. Introduction to Part 5 & Chapter 16

During the years between 1750 and 1914, the emergence of the Scientific, French, and Industrial Revolutions. The demand for items increased due to the growth of the human population. Even though the European moment operated on a genuinely global scale, Western peoples have enjoyed their worldwide primacy for at most two centuries.  The rise of Europe occurred within an international context.   The rise of Europe to a position of global dominance was not an easy or automatic process. In Africa, fear of offending Muslim sensibilities persuaded the British to keep European missionaries and mission schools out of northern Nigeria during the colonial era.    Chapter 16 The Haitian Revolution was part of and linked to a much larger set of upheavals that shook both sides of the Atlantic world between 1775 and 1825. Beginning in the early nineteenth century, a wave of Islamic revolutions shook West Africa, while in Southern Africa. Thus the Atlantic revolu...

Foundresses Week

February 12, 2020 I couldn't attend Foundresses Week Event due to my Class and Work Schedule. But I did the reading about the two most important people in NDNU history. The First Person I know is Julie Billiart. She grew up in a poor family and didn't let her disability affect her helping people. She still continued helping people who are struggling. Francoise is the other half of the amazing duo. She grew up with wealth. Even though she was rich she still helped people who are struggling just like Julie helped people. She didn't let the stereotypes of women get in her head and she went to boarding school.

SND Handout

1) In your own words, what was this reading about? The reading is about Julie Billiart and Francoise Blin de Bourdon's life for starting and creating more opportunities for women 2)  Which woman did you find most interesting and why? I found Julie BIllart's life more interesting because of the way she was so determined to help people, with her struggles growing up is amazing. She was so determined to help people before herself which is amazing. 3)  Which could you relate to most closely and why? The story I would relate to is Julie Billiart. We both grew up struggling with money problems. But I relate to her more is because of her will and fight of never giving up and keep on working hard. While helping and serving people. 4.  Compare the educational backgrounds of the two women. Julie went to a public school, but she didn't finish her studying due to money. Francoise, however, went to a really good school. 5.  How would you describe Francoises’s atti...

Two Cultural Standards started spreading during the 21 century. The first was of Christianity to Asians, Africans, and Native Americans. The second was about early science, being against Christianity. Christianity was established solidly in the Americas and the Phillippines; while Siberia, China, Japan, and India becoming Islamic. The Christain World Divided between the Roman Catholics of Western and Central Europe and the Eastern Orthodox of Eastern Europe and Russia.  Early 16th Century the Protestant Reformation shattered the unity of Roman Catholic Christianity. Christianity motivated European political and economic expansion also benefited from it. Missionaries had their greatest success in Spanish America and in the Philippines, areas that shared two critical elements beyond their coloniz...
